This 45 minute VHS video in FULL COLOR and narrated by George Case prior to his passing in 1989 is available for $42.95 including shipping from his son, George W. Case III. The video is a look back at major league baseball from a ballplayer’s perspective and features FDR “throwing out the first ball” in Griffith Stadium, spring training, pre-game promotions, old ballparks, and more than 15 future Hall of Famers during their playing days – some of the games greatest stars – Ted Williams, Joe DiMaggio, Jimmie Foxx, Hank Greenberg, Lefty Grove, Bill Dickey among others.
Footage from the video has been featured in HBO’s “When It Was A Game” and ESPN’s “Major League Baseball Magazine.” This video is a great look in COLOR at major league baseball when players actually played “for the love of the game.”
The video (VHS only) is available by personal check or money order payable to George W. Case III.
